Directions
  1. Take a water sample from the pool or spa in a clean, small cup, ensuring there is approximately 1 inch (2.5 cm) of water in the cup.
  2. Insert the lower end of a test strip into the water sample and allow it to absorb the water. If there is sodium chloride (NaCl) in the sample, a white peak will start forming. The yellow band at the top of the strip will turn dark once the test is complete, which usually takes around 3 to 4 minutes.
  3. Only dip the titrator into 1 inch of water. It is crucial to keep the top half of the strip completely dry to obtain accurate results.
  4. Remove the strip from the sample and identify the highest white point (white peak) within the number scale on the test strip. Compare that value to the chart provided on the bottle.
