BioGuard Lo ‘N Slo reduces pH and total alkalinity in pool water which is essential for swimmer comfort, equipment sustainability, and pool finish! Lo n’ slo is much easier/safer to use than muratic acid, and after application swimmers may return to the pool after 15 minutes! Lo ‘n slo is a safe and efficient way to reduce pH and alkalinity in your pool! 

Directions

  1. Dilute in a bucket of cold tap water (use no more than 1 gallon of lo ‘n slo per 3 gallons of tap water.)
  2.  Turn the pool pump on.
  3.  Pour the diluted lo ‘n slo into a circulated area (by return jet) preferably in the deep end if possible.
  4.  Please make sure the pool pump is running for the next 10 hours.
  5. Test the pools pH the following day and retreat if necessary.

Dosage

pH between 7.7 to 8.0:

.75 lb per 10,000 gallons of water.

pH between 8.1 to 8.4

1.25 lb per 10,000 gallons of water.

pH above 8.4

1.5 lb per 10,000 gallons of water.

When Not to Use Lo ‘n Slo
  • If you have added BioGuard Balance Pak 100 that day.
  • If you have added Bioguard Balance Pak 200 that day.
  • If the pH level is between 7.4-7.6
