This powerful Cal Hypo shock quickly restores chlorine levels, eliminating unwanted pollutants without adding extra cyanuric acid (CYA).
No pre-mixing required—just follow the simple on-pack instructions for a fast, effective weekly treatment.

*Please do not pre-dissolve this solution
1. With the filter pump running please pour into deep end and brush thoroughly. (Do not pour into skimmer, it will corrode your pool equipment with time.)
2. After 12 hours test water. Since this shock is cal-hypo for the best product performance we recommend the below:
Maintain pH in range of 7.2 to 7.6.
Maintain total alkalinity in the range of 60 to 120 ppm.
Maintain calcium hardness above 200 ppm.
***Do not enter pool the until the free available chlorine residual is 1-4 ppm.***
If you are used to a dichlor/trichlor shock keep in mind the water chemistry ideal marks have changed! If you change to a cal-hypo based shock and you don't get your water to balance around the ideal ranges above your pool will cloud/have other water chemistry issues.
Dosage
1lb per 10,000 gallons of water to provide 5 to 10 ppm available chlorine every week.
